The three race series for the Chandler Candlestick was held over the Bank holiday weekend. Conditions ranged from kedging on Saturday to exciting squally weather on Monday. A total of 8 boats competed making it a closely contested series with some classic one-design tussles throughout the fleet.
David Beale in BLUE JACKET clinched first place on the Saturday showing his trademark skill in the very challenging light air conditions.
Steve Adams sailing QUARTZ emerged as the worthy overall winner with two firsts. Lizzie Brown presented the handsome trophy to Steve who was also celebrating his birthday that day – the champagne flowed nicely!
MANDARIN (Will Dallimore) was second in the series followed by ANNETTE (Tony Chambers) in third place.
