We are a friendly, family centred sailing club with a long history of national and international achievements on the water as well as a diverse social programme.
Our Cadet section can teach children to sail in safe conditions and has a carefully organised programme to develop their sailing proficiency to the highest levels whilst emphasising that sailing should be first and foremost fun. We also offer training for adults, from beginners to advanced levels, for round the cans and offshore racing and also for blue water cruising.
We have a strong offshore fleet, a growing dinghy fleet as well as competitive keelboats. We have our own one design, the Royal Burnham One design, which is one of the oldest in the country. We have recently adopted the RS Elite as our new exciting, easy to sail keelboat. Our cruising section is strong and we also have a large and active motor yacht section.
Our Clubhouse has an inviting atmosphere and is an ideal place to make new friends and meet people Who enjoy sailing in all it’s aspects.
Membership is by election and attached is a membership application form in pdf format at the bottom of the page. You will see that you are required to be proposed and seconded by two Club members. Do not be put off if you do not yet know anybody to sponsor you, we can arrange for you to meet Flag Officers or Committee members for an informal chat.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Club’s office if you would like any further information.
