Situated in the heart of picturesque Burnham on Crouch by the river, we are only 55 minutes from London by train, we also have extensive car parking if you are traveling by road.
With meeting rooms overlooking the river, a fully equipped bar, dining facilities for 150 and recently refurbished accommodation we can make your event special.

We have a range of meeting / conference rooms seating up to 200 in the largest, some with river views.

The Billiards room is ideal for mid sized meetings, seating 15 – 30 people and is used as a classroom for navigation / radio courses, race coaching / evaluations and of course billiards.
The River room has outside access to the Sun deck and is popular place to hold cocktail parties in the summer and to watch the racing in the afternoons.
The Sun room adjoins both the Main bar and the Main dining room and so is frequently called on to provide additional space one or the other rooms, there are regular Bridge evenings here as well as being the place for breakfast and lunch.

The Sun room

The Main Dining room seats approximately 100 which can be extended up to 150 using adjacent rooms. The dining room can also be used as a large conference room with audio and projection facilities suitable for up to 200.
The Library provides a cozy oak paneled environment, suitable as a meeting room or dining for parties of 20 – 25. Decorated with photographs, trophies and memorabilia from the club’s history this delightful room and adjacent bar is ideal for smaller gatherings.

The Libary at the Royal Burnham is one of the oldest parts of the Club.

The Courtyard is the perfect space with that al-fresco feel for dancing and cocktail parties, complete with a bar. We also have a canopy and space heaters in the event of bad weather.

The Main bar provides space to relax with unbeatable panoramic views over the river Crouch.

A continental breakfast is included as standard in the room price for guests staying with us and served in the Sun room overlooking the river, but why not upgrade to a fully catered breakfast?

We also have a number of other rooms available and we will be happy to refer you to local hotels in walking distance if we are unable to meet your requirements.


Catering:


With a choice of dining areas we can provide elegant “silver service” dinners for up to 150 seated or a more intimate experience for 20-25 in the Library. For a more informal atmosphere we can provide buffet meals.
Of course we can also provide breakfast facilities for those not staying, or alternatively coffee & a Danish to greet your guests as they arrive.
Throughout the day we can naturally provide tea, coffee, biscuits and other snacks – and if you are too busy to stop why not ask us to arrange a working lunch delivered to your conference room.

Additional Services:


We have qualified RYA sailing instructors available and can facilitate yacht or dinghy charter for sailing days, whether training, competitive or social.
The newly created Wallasea Island Wetlands Reserve is already attracting a number of birds and trips can be arranged to visit this unique feature, situated opposite the club house. The river is also has a thriving population of seals that can be seen at low tide by boat – trips can be arranged as required.
The Creeksea golf course is a few miles down the road Burnham town centre is quite and attractive, being “the end of the road” with no through traffic.
